Seminars: Sample Parameters

OBJECTIVE: The primary objective of the Reynolds Group Warehouse Lender Seminar is to assist the participants in recognizing and understanding warning signs ("red flags") that may help in the early detection of fraudulent activities being perpetrated by mortgage bankers and others. The Seminar provides important information on policies and procedures utilized by leading warehouse lenders to minimize the risks associated with fraud in the mortgage banking industry. The Seminar also addresses key topics of concern, and examines effective loss mitigation strategies critical to managing a successful warehouse lending operation. Through focused classroom sessions during the day that include a case study and class participation, the Seminar seeks to prepare each participant to enhance awareness and understanding of the types and levels of risk associated with warehouse lending in general, as well as within their specific area of focus; and to recognize the importance of their respective responsibilities/functions to the overall warehouse lending operation.

PHILOSOPHY: Seminars are shaped by The Reynolds Group’s cross-functional approach to training that promotes teamwork and collaboration within the participants' working environment, as well as other related areas of the Company, e.g., wholesale, correspondent, risk management and internal audit departments. Participants are exposed to in-depth levels of risk/fraud awareness that in most cases transcend their individual daily work environments, and prepare them to quickly leverage their enhanced knowledge base to better protect against fraud.

CASE METHOD: The Reynolds Group uses the case method as a tool to teach the critical importance of proactive communication/collaboration among a warehouse lender’s various departments/affiliates with regard to sharing information about the mortgage banker client/prospect.
